QUERY: I am looking for information on family of William JOHNSON b. abt 1748, died 20 Feb 1823 in Rush Creek, Fairfield, Ohio. William Johnson lived in Frederick County, Maryland before moving to Fairfield County, Ohio. He served for three years in the German Regiment from Fredrick County, Maryland and was a Sergeant. He says in his revolutionary pension applications dated 1818 and 1820 that he had seven son\’s and a daughter living at that time and that two son\’s and a daughter were living with him. Possible Children: John Johnson (my Line)married Elizabeth SAIN. William Johnson married to Mary SAIN, Benjamin Johnson married to Catharine STIMMEL (In will abstract a Benjamin Johnson bought personal property from estate after William died) Pension record does not mention any children\’s names. on 1830 Census after William\’s death there is his wife Elizabeth Johnson listed in Rush Creek, Fairfield, Ohio. Tax list 1818 Applied for Pension 1820 Census Fairfield Ohio 1823 Died 20 Feb 1830 Wife Elizabeth Johnson household on Census living with remarried Daughter, son-in-law, and Granddaughter age 16 (from daughter\’s previous marriage and new granddaughter age <5) William mention on his pension application in 1820 that he is living with his wife, two son\'s age 19 and 17, and his daughter age 25, and her daughter age 6.He also said he had 13 children, 8 still living in 1820.
