These First United Methodist Church, 163 E. Wheeling St., Lancaster, OH records are from the time period when they were the Methodist Episcopal Church. The records found in this publication have been divided into three sections.
The first section contains baptism information from the years 1907 to 1921. Asscociated with these records are names, birthdates, baptism dates, the place the baptism took place, the minister’s name, , and the parent’s names – if they were an infant or child.
The second section contains marriage records from 1906 to 1921. This section has been double sorted so that the groom’s and the bride’s names are in alphabetical order. The records include the marriage date, the bride’s and groom’s city of residence, the place the wedding was held and the minister’s name.
The third section is a list of over 3400 members who became members from as early as 1858 and up to 1920. Included is information on the date they joined and the name of the minister at that time. There are also columns for resident address; the location of their former church; and remarks, containing a variety of information.
