
Hocking Township
Hocking Township was established in January of 1801 and was named after the Hocking (Hockhocking) River. In 1801, Hocking Township was one of three townships in Fairfield County until 1805 when other townships were added. In legal terms, Hocking Township is known as Township 14 of Range 19.Some of the early settlers were George Ring and Christian Rudolf.

Delmont ---date of post office is 1856.
Hamburg ---original name was Hamburgh, laid out by John Roland and established on December 18, 1817.
