Restrictions on Access: None.
Description: 1 v.
Summary: Dumond, Sifford
and Associates, consulting engineers prepared this study for the Fairfield County Commissioners ca.
1968. The one volume report provides recommendations for dealing with
future growth in the county, especially in regard to sewer and water needs. The
study projects a doubling of the population in the county by the
year 2000. To cope with this growth, the study suggests three major
improvements- creating a county planning authority, a water and sewer district,
and a county water facility. The study examines population growth
at the township level. Plats of each township within the county are
contained in the series. Detailed information on the composition of the county's
population using the 1960 Federal Census statistics are included, as well
as information on agriculture, housing development, and banking.
