The Fairfield County Chapter, OGS is dedicated to the
collection, preservation, and publication of records
and genealogical materials; providing access to genealogical information;
education and assistance for those interested in genealogy.
This chapter is a registered non-profit 501(c)(3), tax exempt organization. All
donations are tax deductible and gratefully appreciated.

Free queries and surnames published in
the newsletter: Submit on a 3x5 card
and include name, address and date on each card or they can be sent via

News and Notes: A monthly E-zine with the most up-to-date happenings in the Chapter, reminds members of upcoming activities, and gives other special announcements weeks before the quarterly newsletter
Pedigree Chart File: File containing charts of
ancestors as submitted by members. Each member is encouraged to submit at least one, five
generation chart. Surnames will be extracted and placed on 3x5 cards to be used in the
index.
Monthly Meetings:
Various topics offered through speakers and programs at monthly meetings.
Fairfield County Pioneers: Any member who is able
to prove ancestors in Fairfield County prior to 31 December, 1820 can submit application,
necessary proof and $20.00. Click

Meetings:
Regular meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month
at 6:30 p.m.at the Fairfield County Genealogical Library, located at 503 Lenwood
Drive in Lancaster, Ohio. Executive meetings are held the 2nd Thursday of each month at
6:30 p.m. in the Genealogical Library and Research Center. Visitors are always welcome at any of our
meetings.
